Good to know
- What does onboarding cover?
- One-hour onboarding meetings (1 to 4, depending on the package) plus cleanup and setup of your accounting software. Standard and above also set up bill pay processes; Deluxe and Premium also set up payroll processes. How much cleanup is involved is confirmed with you before work starts.
- Bookkeeping updates vs. reports
- Bookkeeping is updated monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly depending on the package. Financial reports are emailed monthly on every package.
- Payroll services vs. payroll setup
- Standard includes payroll services for up to 15 employees, but setting up payroll processes during onboarding is part of Deluxe and Premium only.
- Invoicing vs. accounts receivable
- Invoicing services (Deluxe and Premium) cover preparing and recording invoices. Accounts receivable services, in Premium, are a separate inclusion.
- State filings vs. income tax
- Brighter Way Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping services. The Deluxe and Premium packages include two Florida state filings — DR-15 (sales and use tax) and RT-6 (reemployment tax). Income tax preparation, tax advice, and CPA services are not offered.
- Accounting software
- Standard, Deluxe, and Premium include a Xero or QuickBooks Online subscription (a $30 value). On Basic, you keep your own subscription.
- When a custom quote may be needed
- If your business needs more accounts, employees, or catch-up work than a package covers, talk it through during your consultation.
