Brighter Way Bookkeeping

Find the right bookkeeping support for your business.

Three kinds of help, each for a different situation. Here's how to tell which one you need.

Monthly Bookkeeping

When it helps
You're spending too much time on the books, or they only get attention when something is due.
What Casey handles
Transaction categorization, bank connections, reconciliations, and closing entries — monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly depending on the package.
What you receive
Monthly financial reports by email and regular one-hour review meetings.
How it's offered
Ongoing, through one of four monthly packages.

Bookkeeping Cleanup

When it helps
Your records have fallen behind, accounts haven't been reconciled, or you've inherited books you don't trust.
What Casey handles
Catching up and correcting existing records so they're accurate again.
What you receive
Updated, reconciled books and a clear picture of anything still unresolved.
How it's offered
Cleanup and setup are part of onboarding in every package. The scope is confirmed before work starts.

Payroll Support

When it helps
You have employees and want payroll handled alongside your bookkeeping.
What Casey handles
Payroll services for up to 15, 30, or 50 employees, depending on the package.
What you receive
Payroll handled within the same relationship as your books.
How it's offered
Included in the Standard, Deluxe, and Premium packages.

Everyday bookkeeping terms, in plain language

Reconciliations
Checking the transactions recorded in your books against your bank and credit card statements, so balances match.
Reporting
Organizing your numbers into financial reports, emailed to you every month.
Invoicing
Preparing and recording the invoices you send customers. Included in Deluxe and Premium.
Accounts receivable
Keeping track of what customers owe you. Accounts receivable services are part of the Premium package, and exactly what they cover is agreed with you.
Accounts payable
Keeping track of the bills you owe. Accounts payable services are part of Premium. Recording a bill isn't the same as paying it — who approves and releases payments is agreed with you.

How the services fit together

Most clients start with onboarding, which includes cleanup and setup of the accounting software. Monthly bookkeeping then keeps the books current. If you have employees, payroll runs alongside it in the Standard, Deluxe, or Premium package.

Choosing a starting point

You don't have to decide alone. Tell Casey where your books stand and what's taking your time, and she'll suggest the package or cleanup work that fits.
